When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We also store the username and lantern color you choose, along with gameplay data such as world participation and waypoint discoveries.
Your information is used solely to provide the Wyland gameplay experience — authenticating your session, displaying your username to other players, and tracking in-game progress. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Wyland uses the following third-party services to operate:
Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
Account data (username, color, auth profile) is retained as long as your account exists. Temporary gameplay data such as footprints expire automatically after 5 minutes. Fog-of-war progress is stored locally in your browser and is not sent to our servers.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, please open an issue on the project's GitHub repository.
