Wyland is a cooperative multiplayer exploration game set in a vast, fog-covered world. Each player is a traveler — moving through the darkness with a mysterious light that follows them, revealing the terrain one step at a time.
The world is procedurally generated from a shared seed, meaning every player sees the same mountains, forests, rivers, and snow biomes. But the fog hides everything until you walk through it. Your light reveals only a few tiles around you. To see more, you need other players.
When two travelers get close enough, their lights link — tripling the visible radius for both players. This is the heart of Wyland: exploration is better together. The world is too large and too dark for any single traveler to uncover alone.
